Autumn 2000

Donald N. Levine is former Dean of the College and the Peter B. Ritzma Professor in the Department of Sociology and the College.

Amy Kass is Senior Lecturer in the Humanities Collegiate Division.

James M. Redfield is former Associate Dean of the College and the Edward Olson Professor in the Committee on Social Thought, the Department of Classical Languages and Literatures, and the Committee on the Ancient Mediterranean World.

Geoffrey R. Stone is Provost of the University and the Harry Kalven, Jr. Distinguished Service Professor in the Law School and the College.

Jonathan Z. Smith is former Dean of the College, the Robert O. Anderson Distinguished Service Professor in the Humanites in the College and Program Coordinator of Religion and Humanities.

 

Winter 2001

Hanna H. Gray is President Emerita of the University and the Harry Pratt Judson Distinguished Service Professor Emerita in the Department of History and the College.

Stuart A. Rice is former Dean of the Division of Physical Sciences and the Frank P. Hixon Distinguished Service Professor in the James Franck Institute, the Department of Chemistry, and the College.

J. Paul Hunter is the Barbara E. and Richard J. Franke Professor in the Department of English Language and Literature and the College.

Stephen M. Stigler is the Ernest DeWitt Burton Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Statistics and the College and Member of the Committee on Conceptual Foundations of Science.

Anthony C. Yu is the Carl Darling Buck Distinguished Service Professor in the Humanities and Professor in the Divinity School, the Departments of East Asian Languages and Civilizations, English Language and Literature, and Comparative Literature and the Committee on Social Thought.

 

Spring 2001

Don Randel is President of the University and Professor in the Department of Music.

Robert B. Pippin is the Raymond W. and Martha Hilpert Gruner Distinguished Service Professor in the Committee on Social Thought, the Department of Philosophy, and the College and the Chairman of the Committee on Social Thought.

Andrew Abbott is the Ralph Lewis Professor in the Department of Sociology and the Chair of the Department of Sociology.

Richard Buchanan is Professor and Head of the Department of Design at Carnegie-Mellon University.

Dr. Samuel Hellman is former Dean of the Division of the Biological Sciences and the A.N. Pritzker Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Radiation and Cell Oncology.
